Austin Ryan
Austin Ryan has lived in three regions of the U.S.: Northeast, Midwest and South. During this time, he has earned a BS in Secondary Education from Marquette University and a Provisional Teaching License from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Grades 7-12. Before joining CGS, he taught at Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, TX. After Dallas, he returned to his home state Connecticut to pursue a career in fundraising with Fairfield Prep and Foundations in Education. Austin and his wife live in Bridgeport. He is also the Head Coach of Fairfield University Men's Rugby Club. As a rugby player, he was part of the Fairfield Yankees, which won the USA Rugby Division 3 Men's National Championship in 2016! His favorite novel is
The Professor's House
by Willa Cather, and he enjoys teaching writing because he finds it to be the most self-expressive form of assessment. He is polite in French, and has been to the Caribbean, France, England, Italy, Czech Republic, Argentina, and the Philippines.
M
r. Ryan teaches World Literature 3 and IB Language and Literature Y1 and Y2.
