Mackenzie Brower began her life in Garrison, NY right along the Hudson River, but spent most of her childhood in the little town of Granby, CT in the woodsy top of the state. Mackenzie grew up outdoors, playing sports, exploring, and incredibly obsessed with animals. This led her to major in Biology in college at Eastern Connecticut State University. At ECSU Mackenzie not only earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology but also continued her love for sports, playing one year of Lacrosse and four years of field hockey for the Warriors. Mackenzie then went back to ECSU in 2018-2019 to earn her Master’s degree in Secondary Education. For the first two years of her career, Mackenzie taught at Enfield High School. Due to a move down to Norwalk with her boyfriend, she is very excited to continue her career here at the Center for Global Studies. Outside of teaching Biology and Science of Sustainability, Mackenzie still loves all things outdoors and spends most of her time hiking, fishing, exercising, and spending time on her boyfriend's boat! Mackenzie hopes to make use of her passport and gain some traveling experience and more knowledge of the globe through her time here at CGS.
