Amy Gentile has experience teaching English at both the high school and college level. Before coming to CGS, she taught at several high schools in Connecticut. She also teaches as an adjunct instructor at Housatonic Community College where she has taught a variety of courses for many years. Amy earned her BS in English and her MA in English Education from the University of Connecticut. In her free time, she likes to write poetry, short fiction, and the shards of a novel. She also enjoys planting butterfly gardens and building patios. Over the years, she has made hundreds of dollars recording commentaries on public radio and through other forms of freelance writing. She and her husband met at the Connecticut Poetry Society, and together they frequent coffee shops, read at open mics, and hide from their children. Ms. Gentile teaches World Literature 2 and Global Public Speaking.
