Student Focus Group Participants Needed!

The district is excited to begin the work to form a district-wide Student Council in the 2022-23 school year that will serve as an advisory board for the superintendent and Board of Education.  Before they begin setting it up, they need feedback from students on what this might look like and how it might work. We need 10-15 students per session who are interested in participating in focus groups that will take place in CGS on the following dates/times:

  • December 16 @ 12:30 - 1:30 pm

  • March 15 @ 10:30 - 11:30 am

  • May 11 @ 9:30 - 10:30 am

Please contact Ms. Spero at if you are interested!

Peer Mediation Requests

Peer mediation is problem solving by youth with other youth. It is a process by which two students involved in a dispute or conflict meet in a private, safe and confidential setting to work out problems with the assistance of two trained, impartial, and unbiased student mediators. Student mediators do not know the students referred for mediation, to ensure complete objectivity. Teachers, students, administrators, and counselors may refer students to peer mediation by filling out this form:

Announcements and Reminders:

  • Monday, November 8 is the last day of the first quarter. I encourage you to reach out to your student's teachers with any questions/concerns that you may have and please encourage your student to finish strong!

  • Starting Monday, we will have a new bell schedule! Please be sure that your student is arriving at school by 7:25. We seem to have an increasing number of students arriving after the 7:30 start. We open the building for students beginning at 7:00.
